2023 Data / Statistics

January 2023

After a very busy Christmas and New Year period, we had a much less stressful January with 85 total logs. It was also our only month with no overdoses! It was also our Annual General Meeting (AGM) in which all of the volunteers and partners are invited to attend where we discuss everything that took place the previous year and what's coming up.

February 2023

After the lull of January, we anticipated and were well prepared for a spike in patient numbers. This was also our highest amount of transfers to hospital in our ambulance.

March 2023

Macdonald & MacMillan provided safeTALK suicide alertness for everyone training for our volunteers.

April 2023

This month, we hit 3000 total logs!

May 2023

Some of the volunteers took part in a Facebook Live Recruitment drive in which they gave the viewers a tour of the building, each volunteer spoke about their role, and took part in a q&a in the hope to recruit some new volunteers!

June 2023

This month we were unable to transfer any patients to hospital due to the LEZ restrictions which prevented us from using our ambulance.

We have looked at our data and it shows that there were 4 hospital transfers that the service would have completed but due to the LEZ rules we were unable to.

July 2023

636 of our volunteer hours this month was during TRNSMT weekend alone. This years festival was especially busy and we had a high amount of patients. Our volunteers worked exceptionally hard throughout the TRNSMT!

August 2023

This month some of our volunteers attended the Bonnie Banks Football Festival. We provided medical assistance to the children, parents and staff and our volunteers made a load of yummy cakes for our bake sale and raised £286.40! This month was also our highest amount of volunteers hours this year so far (excluding TRNSMT of course)

September 2023

September was a fantastic month for our volunteers! We celebrated Glasgow Doors Open Day. Our volunteer Megan raised an amazing £450 from her Kilt Walk! We attended The Emergency Services Show in Birmingham and met some amazing companies. It is also the 2nd busiest month this year!

October 2023

In October we celebrated our 3rd Birthday! 3 years supporting the people of Glasgow, we couldn't be more proud! We launched our quarterly newsletter (please see the website to sign up!), and our founder and Head of Service, John Barclay was nominated for the Community Champion Award from the Glasgow Times!

November 2023

In November we hit our 4000th patient! It has been amazing assisting 4000 people in Glasgow and making sure everyone is safe and we also took part in Remembrance Day and laid our own wreath.

December 2023

December was a challenging month for us! With the weather being windy, wet, and snowy, our volunteers still found the time to support the people of Glasgow! We even had volunteers out over Christmas and New Year! Thank you for your continued support over 2023, we hope to see you all next year!
