Hi, I'm John, The Head of Service and Chairman of the Board for Glasgow Street Aid. I am an Ambulance Technician and founded the charity alongside Rebecca.
My role heavily involves operational command of the service in day-to-day operations, overseeing all below sub departments, performance, and achievement of service.
I am also responsible for the management of the budget, Human Resources, and Business Continuity. I also ensure resilience and preparedness are managed effectively.
Hi, I'm Becky, the Area Service Manager and Treasurer for Glasgow Street Aid. I've been with the charity since day one and I am an NHS Advanced Clinical Pharmacist as my day job.
Most of my role involves having an oversight of the charity's activities, correspondence and management of finances. I am responsible for submitting funding applications for the charity and ensuring that we have enough funds for the year ahead to allow us to keep our volunteers on the street, ambulance on the road and the doors open to our medical and welfare centre.

I'm Scott. I'm the Clinical Lead for Glasgow Street Aid. My job as Clinical Lead is to provide overall leadership when it comes to clinical governance and our statutory clinical requirements and all clinical matters relating to the charity. I develop a lot of the charity policies, guidelines, and clinical documentation and support the rest of the Clinical Team in ensuring the charity is following the best available evidence-based practice. I also support volunteers by providing clinical advice on shift and support the Training Lead with developing and teaching CPD.

Hi, I'm Daniel. I am the Education and Mentorship Lead of Glasgow Street Aid. My role is to be the first point of contact for all student healthcare professionals within the charity and higher education establishments supporting them with their development and education in all avenues of their education from essay writing to clinical practice. I work closely with most departments as my role interlinks. I also support all newly qualified volunteers with their transition into their new role helping them navigate the jump from student to registered volunteer.
Just because my main focus is on our student volunteer base doesn't mean I wont help all volunteers if they need support. I can help all volunteers by providing clinical support on shifts as well as supporting the training department by providing CPD sessions.
Hi, I'm Jack. I am the Clinical Hub Lead for Glasgow Street Aid. My role is to be responsible for the implementation of the Clinical Hub, a clinical validation system to provide assistance to more junior medical teams. The department is staffed by the senior registered HCPs of the charity using a set of flowcharts and algorithms to ensure that advice given is clear and consistent. The Clinical Hub is available to be contacted at all times during operational hours for any level of assistance if required via the Clinical Hub

Hi, I am James. I'm the Training Lead for the charity. My role includes creating training and development plans for volunteers. This is done with both online training sessions through Qintil or in person training which is held once a month.
The training I create and provide is for all volunteers even if you don't think it is relevant to your department you are more than welcome to attend to help with your continued professional development.

Hi, I'm Katlyn. I am the Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) Lead for the charity. My role is to provide support and act as the first point of contact for concerns and management for all control room operators. My focus is to help direct and support our crews attend jobs efficiently and safely whilst making sure they also look after themselves by getting appropriate breaks and standing down at finishing time. I also ensure that all the data kept by the control room is accurate by auditing the CAD sheet regularly meaning the charity can access easy data to show our working partners and funders what we do on shift.

Hi, I'm Caitlin, I am the Welfare Lead of Glasgow Street Aid. My role is to be the first point of contact for all welfare needs which includes mandatory welfare checks after traumatic shifts, organising of team events, mental health workshops, our internal awards ceremony and many more well-being initiatives within the charity. I work closely with other departments as welfare is linked to all and collaborate with our Special Projects lead the most to provide more opportunities for our volunteers.
Hi, my name is Jen and I'm the Volunteer Experience Lead here at GSA.
I receive and process all the applications to volunteer at Glasgow Street Aid and help each applicant through the process. I’m the point of contact for all applicants and volunteers for any general questions they may have.
I also help organise some team building activities alongside the welfare department to help strengthen and bring our team together!
Hi, I'm Mark and I am the Asset Lead of Glasgow Street Aid. My role is to be the first point of contact for all asset and equipment issues within the charity. I work closely with most departments as my role interlinks. I also support all newly inducted volunteers with settling into the charity and familiarising them with the equipment and processes the charity uses.
Just because my main focus is on assets and equipment doesn't mean I wont help all volunteers if they need support. Knowing the challenges that some volunteers face, I am always happy to help people learn and develop.
Hi, I'm Ross. I am the Event Planning Lead for Glasgow Street Aid. My role is to be the first point of contact for all event related questions and planning within the charity. The charity regularly provide medical cover for a variety of events, my job is to ensure these are planned and resourced properly and in accordance with all the legislation and policies that surround them. I work closely with most departments to ensure that they are able to support the event and that everything comes together properly. I also assist with procurement for the Charity, ensuring the we procure vital supplies at the best price and quality to carry out our operations.
Even though my main role is event planning, given how long i’ve been with the Charity I’m keen to help other volunteers and answer any questions they may have or signpost them to the correct answer. As I become a registered Paramedic I hope to be able to assist with training and clinical advice for our volunteers.
Hi, I am Laura. I am the Social Media Lead for the charity. My role involves creating digital content for social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn and TikTok. Creating an online presence to improve community engagement and promote Glasgow Street Aid.

Hi, I'm Alison. I am the Special Projects Lead for the charity. My role may seem confusing to most volunteers but a brief summary is that I help expand our reach through networking in lots of different ways getting our brand out into the world. I host special events that help us to improve people's awareness by inviting individuals and organisations to experience how we support the people of Glasgow.
I work closely with different departments within the charity such as social media to help publicise what we do online, showcasing all our amazing work.
My name’s Kirsty Donachie and I am the Admin Lead at Glasgow Street Aid. As the Admin Lead, my role involves collating all of our volunteer shift hours on a monthly basis. I am also responsible for collating all the patient log data and uploading this to the website each month.
In addition to this, I also create our quarterly newsletter which is sent out to all of our volunteers and external subscribers. This is to highlight the work we have done over the quarter as well as upcoming events we want everyone to be aware of.
I also provide general admin support to our Head of Service, Area Service Manager and Department Leads when and if required.
