2024 Data and Statistics

Previous Years Data

2023 2024 (Click HERE)

January 2024

Happy New Year, all! From all of us at GSA, we hope you had a lovely festive period. January was our AGM. We gave our volunteers an update on our progress and heard from our lovely partners such as Glasgow Street Pastors. We also voted in new trustees to give their expertise and help develop and shape the charity!

February 2024

This February, we saw almost double the amount of volunteer hours worked compared to last year. It's an incredible indication of just how much our charity is growing!

It wasn't all work though, this month we celebrated National Mental Health Nurses Day who provide such a vital service to our community.

We also celebrated National Love Your Pet Day and showed off all of our beautiful pets on our social media!

March 2024

This month there were six incidents in which members of the public were verbally or physically aggressive towards our volunteers.

The number of aggression logs hasn't been as high as this since October and we hope it doesn't get as high as this again or worse as we want our volunteers to feel safe!

In other news, some of our volunteers, in consultation with The Scottish Blood Donor Team, arranged a team visit to donate blood!

A huge thank you to everyone who took part!

April 2024

Some of our volunteers (and one amazing dad) took part in the Glasgow KiltWalk this month!

Thanks to your donations, we raised an incredible £2,078.00!

Thank you to everyone who took part!

Donation summary

Total raised£2,078.00

May 2024

 WHAT A MONTH!

Our volunteers were so, so busy and you all can see!

They attended the most amount of patients in a month than any other month since the charity began.

As well as that, they dedicated 300 hours more than last month!

One of our highest amount of monthly volunteer hours!

A huge well done to all the volunteers!

June 2024

We completed our 5000th Incident log this month!

It's a huge achievement for us and we couldn't have done it without our amazing volunteers!

July 2024

We want to say a massive thank you to all our volunteers who took to the streets over the 3 days of TRNSMT weekend.

As you can see from the stats, there were a lot of patients that we assisted this month.

Our volunteer hours were also incredible with our volunteers working 533 hours during TRNSMT weekend alone!

August 2024

Another very busy month for our volunteers!

We want to say a massive thank all of the volunteers who donated extra hours of their time to attend the Balloch Football Festival and the SFRS Festival of Fire!

We also mark our 3rd Space to talk which was a massive success supporting 5 members of the public.

September 2024

A big thank you to all of the volunteers who gave up even more of their time for our September events -

our 2nd Glasgow Doors Open Days Festival

Our Welfare Team marked another successful Space to talk event

November 2024

For the first time GSA volunteers had the privilege in being part of the official contingent for Remembrance Day at Glasgow's George Square.      Our Head of Service led 11 volunteers throughout the day including the parade at the end of service. Our Special Projects Lead lay the GSA Remembrance wreath. It was an honour to be able to represent both current and former military personnel from our own members those from other organisations.

Early November also saw us into the third round of GSA blood donor sessions and fruitful meetings with our partners at Police Scotland.

December 2024

December was another busy month for the volunteer's with a busy festive season.

We also braved the busy Buchanan st for our Christmas fundraiser raising £1300 thanks to our tombola with prizes from some of the local businesses from the city centre including Top Golf, Rangers and Celtic FC, Sugo and many more!.

We also celebrated reaching 6000 Incident logs attended reinforce how vital our service is within the city centre.
